Some backstory: This jellyfish is meant to be one of many sea monsters that exist in the story I have been working on. In the real world, it is uncommon for creatures to emit red bioluminescent colors. Blue and green are the most common colors. In my story, sea monsters are one of many creatures created by gods that live deep under the oceans. The sea monsters are the sort of afterlife for the immortal souls of the creations of these gods. While most monsters glow with the expected blue or green light, the jellyfish is one of only a handful of creatures whose souls have been branded as traitors to their own creators and so its glow stands out from the others.
